Pros

Well run (financially) company that makes it clear what constitutes success. Development opportunities are plentiful and you can make a difference.

Cons

Bosses not very good with flexible working and family. Expected to work long hours, regardless of what's going on. Real 'boys' culture, aggressive and sales/numbers led. Not much intellectual leadership - graft is valued over brains. Very difficult to advance unless you get put into the talent pool by your leader.

Pros

The Bank's international presence is key, as long as employees leverages this for global exposure

Cons

Working in a market of growth and transformation, due to non organic growth is challenging and can be disorderly.

Pros

The area that I work has a supportive environment. There scope to move up the ladder and the director has open-door policy and encourages positive and negative feedback.

Cons

The productivity targets are based on numbers only and not customer service. The job can be robotic and employees feel undervalued.
