      Pros

      The employees at ScanSource are nice. That's it, nothing else. Don't come to ScanSource; everyone is trying to get out or just trying to survive.

      Cons

      Everything. Stay far away from this company. Management attracts job seekers and then does everything to exploit their employees. Reduce benefits, misrepresent stock opportunity to new hires - blatantly lied. In addition, management is highly neurotic and overly controlling. No regard for employees - viewed as easily replaceable (people are expendable according to management). Wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face - and don't know how to develop and engage their talent. ScanSource management prefers puppets. Lie to employees about everything and put a “spin” on everything. Management is highly secretive and nefarious – ScanSource’s corporate culture is more like an evangelical cult than a company in business for profit.

      Working from home Jobs aren’t hard to learn You will make lots of industry contacts - use this to build your network and get a new job

      Cons

      Essentially all non management jobs are entry level and paid as such with no path towards upward mobility or a raise Managers are strictly micro managers who simply make sure you are at your desk for 8 hours and answer all your emails. No leadership or coaching After a year you will have learned all you will learn Unless things drastically change the future outlook is grim, company is currently desperately seeking direction and identity and struggling to change along with the evolving channel CEO is busy buying a new Tesla every quarter instead of paying anyone

      Growing Pains

      Relaxed environment, adequate benefits, friendly people.

      Cons

      Flat management structure that is not professionally managed. Many of the current managers were put in their positions because they were good individual contributors, but they aren't good at managing people. The pay is is not the best in the industry, but I stay here because of other conveniences.
