Pros

Worked with some great people.

Cons

Management was/is horrible. Felt stabbed in the back multiple times. Poor ethics - excessive drinking at functions. Seems to be an expectation, especially with customers. Questionable "deals" to make goals. Just did not feel right.

Pros

You will have a job and get a paycheck.

Cons

If you're not from South Carolina, didn't go to Clemson or SC, forget about it. You will not advance here or make any real money, but probably is a great job for recent grads (from Clemson). It really is a joke - they just keep shuffling middle management around to different departments until they find something they are decent at. They put executives in leadership positions for products they literally know nothing about. An executive there once stood in front of an entire division at their annual sales kickoff, and said, "I don't know how we make money." - and this person was serious and after a year and a half of leading the team. This executive proceeded to show the team a slide that was obviously doctored (because we had the real information in our hands and everyone was passing it around, unbeknownst to the executive) and boldface lied to the team about it. ScanSource rewards tenure only, and only if you are in the Good Ol' Boys Club. ScanSource works their employees to death and severely underpays them. The benefits are subpar, the health insurance is atrocious. They feed you line after line about family, but you are nothing but a number. They will never compete with leading distributors, not even close, because there is zero initiative, vision, and innovation at this company, NONE.

Disappointed in what could be a great company

Pros

Paid well. Somewhat flexible for work-life balance -- understanding of prioritizing family first if children sick; encourages community volunteering participation.

Cons

If hired as temp at least at this remote office, company waits 3 years before willing to hire permanent and doesn't bridge that employment-so the time is not recognized for becoming vested (happened with multiple temps). Management does not seem to care about enforcing good behavior at this remote office-especially when there's no onsite manager. When I came on board found out how unfairly the team members had been treated by company years before which caused a very negative view by the workers, rightly so their trust level was very low.
