Pros

ServiceNow as a company has strong products and vision. Stock options are one of the few perks that helped sustain during tough times.

Cons

My 5 years in the Support Account Management (SAM) team were incredibly difficult due to a deeply toxic leadership culture. Leadership—especially at the director level—exhibited biased and unprofessional behavior, often discouraging open dialogue. Disrespectful treatment toward female employees was unfortunately witnessed, along with insensitive and inappropriate remarks. Communication style was authoritative and lacked trust, with emails often written in a tone that demoralized the team. Resource mismanagement was common, with unnecessary travel to client sites and questionable hiring practices—including friends and relatives—leading to further internal silencing. Despite raising concerns through HR feedback forms, there was no response or follow-up, creating a sense of helplessness. The work culture has deteriorated significantly, and unless there is a change in leadership, I fear the SAM team in India will continue to suffer.

Pros

Lots of autonomy, innovation, and the best tools.

Cons

There were people that didn’t do their roles and were 100% activists and DEI cheerleaders. The department was hostile to white men and promoted based off gender, race, and activism, showed favoritism to them, and ignored the people actually doing their jobs well. Lots of managers followed fringe progressive concepts making them their whole identity and subjecting everyone to this while dividing the culture. All strong employees left the company on my manager’s watch as he circled himself with weak people lacking competence. He himself was a weak leader and avoided anything that made him uncomfortable, which was a lot. Some great managers, some terrible. The culture is overall toxic in technical writing.

Pros

ServiceNow is still a top tier company in the market. I'm almost at 4 years with this org and I still personally think they are best in the market. Friends that work at other tech companies are usually amazed at the benefits we get here: - Big market leading product - CEO is amazing - Stock Options (with positive performing stock) - Mental health days off - Private health support - Opportunity to exceed your sales targets with a versatile range of products (forces you to become creative)

Cons

Targets have become more aggresive with new leadership changes. Amongst these changes people have lost faith in new leadership, despite this ServiceNow will continue to grow significantly
