Pros

I learned a lot about internet, cable, and phone services, and how they worked.

Cons

Days were very stressful for employees and customers alike. Employees weren't given access to many things that would help efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Pros

Good benefits and vacation policies (depends on where you’re coming from).

Cons

First, low compensations compared to other industries. If you like corporate work you can ignore this. For everyone else: it doesn’t matter how much you know or what you know, your expertise will be siphoned for results, NOT for your development, NOT in light of your knowledge, just to get the next person above you what they need to stay afloat. Management does not know how to properly manage tech professionals. They think they know what they’re talking about and how to approach teamwork and collaboration and they use that to steer the ship into foggy waters. Managers need to be experts in who they lead in tech, but they’re absolutely not here. Keep on looking, I’m sorry, I know it’s hard out there.
