Pros

Free cable, lots of free lunches, decent pay for help desk type work, good for those just starting out in I.T.

Cons

Management ignores college degrees in the sciences and focuses more on certifications. Processes constantly change, dozens upon dozens of systems to learn, commercial network operation team is arrogant and treat tech support like idiots and children. Typical ISP to get started at but those with a brain always end up leaving for better companies.

Pros

Coworkers are really friendly, they'll go out of their way to help you out. Some managers are also really good too and will defend their employees which is a great quality. Excellent benefits that kick in almost immediately and are affordable. Free cable TV service is great too with good discounts on some premium stuff.

Cons

It's a call center but don't let management hear you call it that. If your primary job duty is to hit call metrics, you're on the phone 8 hours of the day, and there are TVs all over the office showing call queues and agent status, it's a call center. It's extremely hard to move up. I worked with people who were CCNPs and they're stuck in a call center making abysmal pay. Things are extremely siloed like most large companies and there are even silos within the departments. One manger will say one thing but will be contradicted by another or a team leader. The low pay and low annual raise just didn't justify it for me. I could make more at another company. There's a lot of overhead in management and everyone is trying to kiss up to the next level. Team leads are kissing up to the managers, managers kissing up to the director, director kissing up to the senior director. As much as I enjoyed working there, I couldn't bring myself to to keep dealing with it.
