-Insecure executive micro manages design and don't trust designers so you're essentially a hand with no brain and they don't value your experience, constantly making you change your design until you have no time to develop the product. You will be working yourself to death trying to catch up to deadlines. "Spin Master" is an appropriate name for this company cause you will be spinning in circles constantly.
-Poor marketing plans with over projection of sales will kill all your good designs only allowing 1 season of toys on shelf but they will blame design instead of changing bad process & decisions. This happens over and over and over...they never learn.
-A boys club surrounded by ‘yes’ managers, incompetent directors, abusive VP's who don't know how to help people grow or appreciate you. They will work you until you're bone dry, be prepared to do work of at least 3-5 people.
-Very political and corporate since becoming public. Think Mattel but not set up as well as Mattel with less benefits.
-Management don't care or understand how to motivate, lead and help people grow and in some instances downright abusive, making numerous designers leave on their own cause the environment is soooo toxic ("MS").
-Constant reorg cause they don't know what they're doing while constantly implementing bad systems/processes which doesn't improve unrealistic time lines or fix delays created by bad upper management demands.
-Too many meetings and recap meeting to figure out what the previous meeting conclusion is.
-Some unqualified and lazy employees
