Pros

Free cereal and fruit. Some good employees which will probably also leave soon.

Cons

The technology is a shambles, no forward thinking at all and lots of people working themselves into key reliance roles and working people out that they don't agree with (or like). Performance management is utterly poor, usually done behind closed doors by higher powers with employees having no say to motivate for their performance. HR are so aligned with making the company successful that they'll go out of their way to sweep any issues under the carpet instead of dealing with them properly. Lots of heads of department and team leads are spineless "yes man" type of people and would rather say what people want to hear as opposed to what is realistic. Number one priority is doing everything cheap, and not well, so all work and hiring is moving to Eastern Europe and India.

Pros

Has an office. Okay benefits package and salary. Exposure to international teams, although you'll have to figure things out on your own. Remote work flexibility, but that’s about where the perks end.

Cons

No one, especially in leadership, knows what they’re doing. The global marketing team lacks even a basic understanding of the markets or the company’s core offerings. Resourceful talent is either underutilized or let go without any warning. People are fired abruptly, often with zero communication or rationale. The company isolates non-favorites, creating a hostile work environment. If you’re not in with the right crowd, expect to be sidelined or pushed out, commonly abrupt and without prior notice or warning. Extremely political culture. Decisions are made based on favoritism, not merit, and it’s all about protecting power rather than delivering results. Despite being around for 100 years, it operates like a dysfunctional startup with no real organizational structure or direction. There’s no clear strategy or vision, and they still struggle to even make their presence known in the market. Don’t trust them as a trading partner. Their internal knowledge of finance and trading is sketchy at best, and they flip-flop on decisions constantly. The company operates so under the radar, they seem to think they can get away with shady, inconsistent trading practices.

Pros

met some cool people, the business domain is interesting

Cons

in the area that I work in and the project that I am on, the culture is toxic and it comes from upper management. No real project processes in place and sometimes it feels like this place is being run by amateurs. You better be prepared to shut up or get out.
