      - Interesting sector and powerful mission - Some wonderful coworkers who are passionate about what they do - Generous benefits and vacation policy

      Cons

      - Wildly inconsistent cultures across departments - experience will depend on your department. -Chronically over resourced on the management side, under resourced on the execution side - Company and management don’t uphold stated values, *especially* around ED&I - No opportunities for advancement or career progression in my field

      I worked at Syngenta for roughly 7 years. Early on in my career it had a very focused set of corporate values and was genuinely about attempting to honor those

      Cons

      When the company was privatized it managed to lost its focus and vision. Core values were completely changed and ignored. Instead it became na army of white men playing financial parlor tricks to pad the valuation

      Interesting research. Top tier research employees. State of the art equipment and reagents. Excellent research budget.

      Cons

      Downsized without warning though logical results in damaged employees. Poorly trained management team leads at our site. Competitive environment that pegged groups against one another.
