Pros

No training, no defined instructions, just hired and watch basic videos get badge and shown the break room and then bye, your sent out to figure it out yourself or you gotta ask other employees. The place is a mess, behind closed doors nobody wants to do anything regarding cleaning. One manager tells u one thing and a different one tells you something completely opposite. They are fake to your face. They talk about each other. It's a fight for superiority. Sad but they don't carew about anyone except the employees who get credit card applications! If your a 19 yrs old blonde girl than the will love you

Cons

See the pro's and figure it's worse than that

Pros

Weekly pay, great benefits, and perks through job. TJX has a number of perks including TAAP that help remedy some of the negatives but they don’t negate them. You can get help with all types of insurance, housing assistance, discounts on childcare, phone bills, etc.

Cons

Overtime is rare unless it’s during the holiday season. If you are a college student planning on applying for a corporate position (Home Office), DO NOT get a job in the store/retail side. The company will require you to become store management before you are considered eligible for HO positions even though other graduates with no TJX experience can be considered for the same position. Retail pay is also very low. You have to negotiate with store management and HR just to get above $13 while also holding leadership position.

Pros

I started working at TJ Maxx in college and stayed for 10 years. It was a great company to work for and only got better throughout my time with different benefits and initiatives through the company. My favorite thing was the flexibility they allowed with my schedule. Throughout the pandemic employees were constantly being given bonuses and wages were even raised.

Cons

The only downsides I had were with certain managers, but that's going to be the case for any job. The only downside from the corporate company was the way they pushed managers to push employees to push charities and credit card applications onto customers.
