Not worth the effort of working here

Pros

Very interesting industry. Great products. Very nice people at middle management level and below.

Cons

Grueling hours and no respect for work-life balance. Sr Management is more concerned with their personal bottom line than with grooming and furthering growth of their employees. Head of HR does not care about people and runs the entire group without personal touch. If you are below Director, you are not valued.

Pathetic benefits

Pros

Being a large company, there are fairly good resources at our disposal

Cons

Take-Two has the worst benefits package for US employees I've ever seen. Of the 4 companies I've worked at, insurance covers the least amount of care and costs the most of any policies I've had. It's infuriating.

The culture of fear

Business Outlook

Pros

-The focus on financial performance will get you through the storms of economy. Take-Two has solid financials and wasn't affected by lay-offs. -RSU after 1 year of emplyment

Cons

- 3 week vacation - no focus on talent development - the culture of fear, old fashioned "hard balling". Pointing out obvious f*-ups in the system will absolutely get you fired. People know it and stay quiet - high consolidation in the gaming market means employees have very little bargaining power, and the management knows it. They will keep their costs low at your expense. - time tracking takes up a ton of time, and it's encouraged to be done at your "free from work work time" aka evenings. That's on top of tracking everything in Jira. Not much time is put into planning, but all of the time is put into tracking the lack of planning, with management acting all surprised about where the time goes into and blaming the employees of ineffectiveness. There were definite hints from line managers on how to fake the numbers so that nobody asks any questions. In a nutshell, the fish has started to rot from the head.
