Pros

Decent compensation. Nice place to be if working with Scala is what is most important to you.

Cons

Poor engineering practices makes it a bad place to learn and build a career. Tech leaders are selected based on time joined, not leadership skills, which is of course commonly seen in lots of companies, but is never good. Conways law is seen everywhere and there's a lot of friction in interfaces between teams. There's a gap between top management vision (I would rather say economical goals) and how this is transferred down to engineering.

Pros

Great culture, with a lot of both top down and bottom up emphasis on continuous improvement Awesome perks Great tech Good traction in the market with recent uptick Strong brand and reputation Seems to be a focus on bringing in more experienced managers across tech and product team I love the openness and the fact that management takes complaints and recommendations seriously The company has evolved tremendously over the past twelve months in a positive way

Cons

There has been quite a few changes especially on the product side of the organization. Some inexperienced managers created a lot of challenges which I believe is where some of the negative reviews here are stemming from. Unequal distribution of workload and some people feeling priviliged

Pros

Talented engineers. (The minimum to post pros is five words. Since I had only two, here are more.)

Cons

Upper management lacks direction, vision, and proper experience. This has lead to poor project and product management and poorly implemented solutions that lead to a host of fires that have to be constantly put out. Worse yet, the management team has managed to ruin the best thing about Tapad -- their talented workers -- by destroying morale with a lack of recognition and reward for the people working hard for the company even as they put out fires and pull together solutions under tough circumstances.
