Pros

Decent benefits, work from home.

Cons

Behind the facade of a modern organization, lies a maze of confusion and indecision. A matrix structure leads to too many stakeholders and too little decision making, which adds up for an incredibly frustrating work experience. The company desperately needs innovating but leadership spend most of its time and energy focusing on keeping business as usual. Its technology stack is ancient, and whatever process they call agile has nothing to do with incremental improvements and better collaboration. Leadership do not foster a culture of trust, leading to a lot of people whose sole job is to nod along while spinning around trying to execute on a suboptimal vision.

Lotta talk, but no action

Pros

Good benefits, work life balance. You can coast at this company if that's what you want to do.

Cons

Lots of time is spent planning and talking about plans, but nothing actually happens. TransUnion hires a bunch of ex consultants to put together pretty slide decks, and they sure spend a lot of time talking about those slide decks. But ultimately this is a sales company with a lot of confusing layers, and they're really far removed from effecting actual change. Example of a lot of talk and little action: TU's big D&I initiative is well intentioned, but they do nothing when there are specific allegations of gender and racial discrimination. I've been in meetings where I heard actual slurs that went completely unaddressed. They can point to initiatives and projects all they want, but in my experience being there, it was all just a lot of talk.
