      Great team, less office politics, experienced and competence people to work with, Great benefits

      Cons

      Salary is not competitive to market. They offer bonus annually but that varies and depend on performance. They require to be in office 3 days a week.

Salary is always an important conversation; our global compensation team continuously researches the market to make sure we stay competitive. Where we stand apart from the competition is truly in our annual performance bonuses. Every UL Solutions employee is eligible and while individual performance is a factor in any bonus plan, we are pleased our company performance has been historically strong in hitting top payout targets. We realize any back to work policy is an adjustment after working remotely for some time, however, we are pleased to offer a hybrid 3 days a week for roles that don’t necessitate “in person” work. Going back to what makes our culture so unique, “the people”, working alongside our colleagues helps us foster our strong relationship building culture, deepening our connections with both employees and customers.       Could be better, Could be Arkansas.

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling. Ability to learn new things. Relatively relaxed work environment. Not too much micro-managing.

      Cons

      Unfair pay; 10% to as high as 30% less yearly pay is given compared to other companies offering similar roles. Pay for similar roles within the company at other locations is better than Arkansas. Pay is based broadly and internal job moves will not get you a raise despite a new title. A lot of the management don't have backbones and a decent amount could do with a demotion/termination. Favoritism is abundant, with customers and internal employees. The more you learn to do, the more valuable you will become. You will not be compensated for hard work and being a highly valued employee.

      Poor diversity + no career path if you are not in the club - even with female CEO

      Pros

      Flexibility and it's not hard to look like a superstar if you just work a little hard because others around you show low productivity or no sense of urgency.

      Cons

      Diversity. If you are a person of color you are still treated as a supporting role even with more accomplishments and degrees because you are in not in "the club." You will be talked down to, not trusted, and put on secondary projects in middle manager roles-Giving little to no hope career progression is an option. The 50% female C-Suite is the biggest accomplishment in the past few years - but even that lacks it's diversity.
