emotional terrible job

Pros

Coworkers. Drivers Health insurance yay

Cons

About 50% of the job is basically reiterating to people why they were “fired” or kicked off the platform. You will read about sexual assaults, bad driving, drinking, abuse, and then have to sit there and hear how what they did is incorrect. You then have to continue telling them sorry, nothing I can do. Sometimes though some people seemed genuine and would beg, saying they provide for their family, how else will they make money? Again you say sorry nothing I can do You’re essentially a fake manager who is the face of the company who fires these drivers.

Pros

Great name on your resume, somewhat decent earning potential (80-90k), good people, most managers were promoted internally

Cons

Churn and burn culture, management is constantly looking to increase productivity leaving reps completely burned out, quotas always raising, small books of business with mid territories making hitting goals difficult, only 60% of reps hit quota (if that) and they hired outside sales managers from other similar companies that know nothing. Also they raised the commissions that restaurants must pay, greedy. And they never acknowledge the difficult circumstances they put us in they just pretend everything is hunky dory!

Pros

Uber is a good place to work for people who enjoy solving large-scale problems and working on products that impact millions of users. The company offers strong learning opportunities, exposure to complex systems, and the chance to collaborate with talented people across different teams. The work environment is fast-paced and challenging, which can help employees grow quickly. Compensation and benefits are generally competitive, and the brand name is strong in the technology industry.

Cons

The pace of work can sometimes be demanding, and priorities may change frequently. Because the company is large, decision-making and cross-team coordination can occasionally take time. Some teams may experience high workload, operational pressure, or technical debt depending on the area. Career growth can also vary based on team, manager, visibility, and available opportunities

Pros

At this point apart from uber credits and forma there’s no pros I can seee

Cons

Uber was amazing when I joined it, slowly its culture depreciated and there’s micromanaging at every step of the way. Forget managers and team leads, the teammates are also micromanagers now and complain at every small inconvenience about others. Apart from that promotion is impossible here if you don’t know how to impress the seniors and behave a certain way. Even small things like a min away late checkin on WD is looked down upon. And if you make a mistake ever being human, you’re looked down upon and punished and ignored.
