      Salary (from a certain seniority) Interesting projects You get to learn a lot Great project management people

      Cons

      Narrow minded team- and site-management Harrasment is a common HR policies are a joke IT is a joke Production rules enforced in R&D (sic!) Bureaucracy is the key driver, not the customer not the product (ie French management) Refusing to fake (test) results is a big no-no with a slap on your wrist

      Pros

      Really Interesting projects and great people. The level of autonomy I was allowed really suited my work approach. One day I could be design authority in a high level management meeting the next I could be machining something on a milling machine in the workshop so great diversity of tasks.

      Cons

      Old school management team overwhelmed by quantity and technical challenges of projects - so sometimes poor management/ management get in way of progress. Also management structure way too top heavy.

      Terrible managers who fight amongst themselves because no one likes to admit fault for the abundance of problems that occur on a daily basis. The plant manager has a few close friends in the office, he does not support anyone who is not in his immediate friend group. The HR department is obsolete, as long as no one is is injured and the company is at fault then they don’t care about you or your problems. During the last 5 months of my employment the only 2 HR reps showed up to work only a handful of times. Horrible working conditions, everything is dirty. Unsanitary bathrooms and break rooms, often running out of paper towels and toilet paper due to the absence of HR. Don’t waste your time here, of the 90k people employed at Valeo, this plant had the highest turnover percentage
