WORST PLACE ON EARTH

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Good place to make connections, nice office. Apart from that it’s terrible

Cons

1. HOURS. You work extremely long hours. I overlooked the negative reviews and I shouldn’t have. Trust me the bad reviews are all true. WeWork is extremely unorganized. 2. THROWN INTO THE FIRE. I had to work in this new position with zero training until a month later. No proper training in the first month meant I was yelled at a lot for things I did not even know how to do. Impossible. There is no right way to do anything, because the position looks different at every location and every manager has a different style, yet somehow your performance is still evaluated with the same metrics. 3. HIRE AND FIRE RUTHLESSLY. I was switched from leading x to y and back to x in my 6 months there. My manager also switched FOUR TIMES. Colleagues are hired and fired so fast. I WAS LET GO WITH NO NOTICE. FIRED ON THE SPOT, NO COMPENSATION. Horrible HR practices, this place is a joke. My very last manager was a child who had no idea how to manage anyone in the team. She doesn’t even have a college degree. I will end this by emphasising that I was fired with no notice and no compensation. HORRIBLE PLACE. Location is listed as APAC Uganda, but it is in APAC. Keeping location anonymous

Pros

Work/Life Balance. Good pay for new employees coming into the company.

Cons

Culture is a bunch of lies. The reality is this: a) It hard to find quality employees because hiring is broken. If you are good at talking, repeating culture jargon, and business buzzwords in the interview, you can easily get it.
