Pros

WeWork provides a lot of great benefits and perks. It provides free coffee, fruit, beer, breakfast, etc. It hosts fun events and happy hours too. It is a young and fun company for sure.

Cons

It is not a company you can really make long term goals and plans to stay at. The infrastructure within WeWork is frustrating to say the least. Most of management have no experience. It feels very much like college and oftentimes there is tension/drama within teams. It can be quite cliquey with ingenuity. None of the systems and policies enforced within the company feel genuine either. Bringing up challenges with higher ups feels discouraged. Employees don't feel confident flagging structural / growth issues.

Cronyist, Virtue-Signaling "Progressivism"

Pros

Good place to have on the resume

Cons

This review has been edited by the author to conform with Glassdoor guidelines to avoid the naming of any individuals that are not public facing executives. With regards to the title - To be clear, I have no issues with progressives on whole, nor is this about politics themselves - though I do see that the owner is actively promoting the adoption of a very certain political view and thereby making all other professionals feel unwelcome. And I personally do subscribe to that political view for the most part - I just believe that meatless diets or gender-neutral bathrooms necessarily fall under social policing under a certain politic rather than anything else. (I mean, women fought for the right to have their own bathrooms literally not too many decades ago.) There is rampant favoritism, intra-office politics, cronyism. So much that it turns into a toxic environment. I wish I had listened to a former coworker upon her advice to me to stay away from this company - I lasted longer than she did, but not too much so. The environment is gilded and extremely pretentious. There is no respect for personal integrity, professionalism, or even a lack of sycophancy. Several managers in my former department are more of party people than anything, but they fit the company culture and preferred view, so there they are. It seems that most of the higher-ups share the religion of the company CEO for whatever reason.
