Pros

Decent work culture, lots of food around, get to meet a lot of different people

Cons

You're expected to do the work load of 3 people, low pay, one co-founder definitely has a "god complex". As an employer WeWork is a joke. As a business WeWork is genius.

Pros

Fantastic colleagues who are great listeners, who want to learn, who want to hone their craft. This is a good place to start our and get a better understanding of what you want from your career. Gain exposure to a range of disciplines and industries under one roof. Good health / dental / vision benefits. Flexible sick days. WeWork locations all over the world. You DO feel like you're part of a global effort to create a community. Members are grateful and appreciate the hard work.

Cons

No transparency throughout the entire WeWork organization. There is no protocol to receive or request performance reviews, promotions, or be considered for a raise. There is no such thing as advancement or vertical movement in a company that does not give employees a feeling of security (beyond a paper card to fill out their short and long term goals). They will switch your immediate manager, team and title with no notice. It is a typical occurrence to have your day-to-day workflow suddenly upended by high-level layoffs and resignations. There are very few women at the executive level, except in assistant / coordinator (aka administration) positions. Male managers favor their friends and family. They treat them as such. I'm not surprised to see this come up in several other reviews. HR will not answer your emails for weeks, and when they do, they are dismissive and short. You are asked to work weekends, and travel on short notice. This is many of your colleagues first job and their lack of experience falls on 'few' rather than 'all', often leading to an inconsistent or sub-par final product.

Pros

WeWork is an extremely young company and has so much potential to grow, as it is constantly growing. You'll meet a ton of great people whom you can connect with and build relationships. Salary appears to be above average for the type of work you do. No dress code. Occasional free alcohol (All these things are outweighed by the cons).

Cons

You work really, really long hours. I overlooked the negative reviews because I really wanted to work with this company. The company is extremely unorganized. The first red flag was being expected to learn how to work a new position while simultaneously going through training at the same time. Impossible. Lots of passive aggressiveness and not enough support from management. There is no right way to do things 100%, because the position looks different at every location, yet somehow it's still evaluated all the same. The second was being expected to complete work without having access to programs/logins needed to complete this work. If you hire someone, please make sure they have all the tools they need to be successful before starting. The third is, being mislead about off-days ( you essentially can't really take off days because there's only three people working per building). If you're still figuring things out and are in need of work, go for it, but with an average of 10-12 hour days, you'll become burnt out really quick.
