Pros

Massive network of building all over the world with no real limit to “free” travel.

Cons

- Layers upon layers of management with more being added all the time. If you’re not senior leadership then you’re constantly pushed down the ladder. - Little to no opportunity for growth. - Leaders have no ownership, constantly pass the buck. - Extremely poor perks and benefits for a startup. They aren’t competitive at all. Unless you enjoy endless kombucha/beer. - Has a very “culty” vibe. If you’re not with them, you’re against them, and shunned for that. - No training on any of the procedures that change by the hour. - Employees are expected to pay bills, sometimes far above their pay grade. - Employees are forced to live by their meat free policy while on company time. This includes travel, if you want to expense your food it must be meat free (and they make you prove it). Shall I go on or is that enough? Avoid this company like the plague. There are plenty of other companies out there that are actually doing good things and will reward you for your hard work.

Better than Expected

Pros

I came from a much larger organization and expected WeWork to be disorganized - and it is to a certain extent - but no more so than any other large, established company. The difference is there is energy for change and growth, perhaps moreso than any place I've experienced. The potential is huge if you see challenges as opportunities. I'll echo what others have said about the workspace - it's pretty awesome. And the perks are good too though not as good as some larger companies (see 401K). There are trade-offs of course.

Cons

Don't come here if you aren't a self-starter and adaptable. Don't come here if you're looking for someone to tell you what to do. Don't come here if you're uncomfortable with change and grey space. Seriously. Don't. If you're looking for a place where you can come in, get your work done, keep your head down, and go home, this is not the place for you.

Pros

Generally the people that are hired to work at WeWork are great. Leadership is questionable and very often people are not prepared or qualified for their roles, but they are mostly good people that are enjoyable to work with.

Cons

This has been such a disappointing place to work. Everything that WeWork claims to be about, it’s actually the opposite. The culture is competitive, leaders are only looking out for themselves, and the politics are endless. The company focus constantly changes, so no one knows what they are doing and the day to day is insanely reactive. They lose so many great people because no one in leadership actually cares to invest their time in making their teams feel valued. If you have integrity, an opinion, and/or believe in doing the right thing - skip this. The leadership here is wildly threatened by people who speak the truth and poke holes (especially if you’re a woman). They simply don’t want to hear it.
