Pros

If you like a mission Driven company that allows you to be autonomous, entrepreneurial, and inspired then this is the perfect place to be. WeWork has allowed me and our team to develop processes to help grow our local members and community. The transparency of the team and the integration of our corporate team is close to none. It is extremely easy to contact figure heads to get answers and solutions, and when are is not one you are empowered to be apart of creating solutions. Our company is very diverse. Being an African american man in a leadership position is empowering, as well as honored as WeWork values different backgrounds and experiences. My 2 years at WeWork has truly been great and has empowered me to work to create things greater than myself. Previously working for Apple and Nike afforded me the opportunity to be apart of companies that have a great brand. But WeWork is much more than that. I have referred tons of colleagues who joined WeWork and have loved it as well. If you are looking to grow, and help growth then WeWork is a great place to be.

Cons

What ever Cons I bring up would eventually turn into opportunities to grow. Example would be development of more processes as we are a new company. In learning more about this what I have suggested for solutions for these have been implemented! So I see any issues we have experienced as a change to express and develop what the solution could be. Our leadership teams have been extremely receptive.

Going places, albeit with some growing pains

Pros

Growth Potential -- Just scratching the surface on its mission (rethinking how people work/live) with a massive potential market size (global real estate); Incubating business lines like Enterprise, Powered by We, etc. starting to gain significant traction Great Product -- Lots of demand for the underlying product / service. Unit economics are actually profitable. Coworkers -- Some of the most down-to-earth, inspiring people will be by your side; Employees form genuine friendships in and out of the workplace; Awesome global events bring people from all of the world together twice a year. High Upside -- Rockstar employees have the ability to work on interesting, high-impact projects and get promoted to leadership positions early in their career. Forward Thinking / Agile -- The company isn't afraid to try new things. While that often results in some growing pains, it's refreshing to be at a company that is constantly trying to evolve rather than become stagnant.

Cons

Change is Constant -- If you're coming from a more established organization, this can take some getting used to. High growth = change. The best advice would be to lean in to your own personal development, seek out mentors within the company, actively explore new areas of growth and opportunity. Constantly evolving as an employee can be exhausting but rewarding if approached right. Somewhat Political -- Some nepotism still exists, though this has been improving in recent years.

Pros

I had outstanding and empathetic team-members . I love how chic the office spaces are. Makes coming into work more enticing. I was reasonably paid and since the company is still young, there are many opportunities to set yourself apart. I definitely took advantage of all the free food and coffee. I flew out to 4 major cities throughout my time there and Summer Camp was awesome.

Cons

Management wasn't that responsive to my requests for further training to improve in my role. Working with the East Coast team while working on the West Coast proved frustrating. I usually had to wait on others while stuck on a problem I couldn't solve myself, but I would take all the heat from the member. Eventually I was burnt out.
