Pros

50% off some food units There are always vacancies - so high chance of success for all applicants "Free parking while at work"

Cons

Very low pay. "Flexible hours" means from the business perspective only. Rotas done less than one week before they begin. Required to work any day in the year that your manager wishes including Christmas day and Easter day and you won't be informed until the week before (company policy of 3 weeks notice not enforced in any way and in practice rarely happens). Corrosive culture of micromanagement, distrust and negative criticism. Night workers lone-working for 8 hours without being able to take breaks as there is no other staff cover and the unit they are manning must be constantly trading. Skeletal staffing since Applegreen takeover, corners cut and safety appears secondary - churn and burn approach. During Covid-19, no cleaning staff to clean Forecourt toilets throughout the day (not even once!) Constant abuse from customers over high prices and the consequences of falling company standards.

Thanks for taking the time to offer such detailed and specific feedback. It's clear that you are experiencing some issues - most concerning is that it doesn't read as if you would approach your manager with them, therefore not giving us the chance to address it and put it right. If you would like to get in touch with me, even confidentially, I'd appreciate the chance to look into your comments and the experience you write of. That way, we get the chance to address it and turn it around. Thanks in advance Justin Morrison // Head of Talent and Resourcing

Pros

To be honest most people are good to work with. Discount at Sites.

Cons

No Processes at all that actually help. Management are extremely rude and not helpful. So much old technology which is about 20 years ago. No work & home balance. Slavery. They expect you to fix things that require more resource but expect you to do it and do your regular job aswell. For some outrageous reason IT do some of the financial processes which is unheard of. They get you to do more work by saying do a "working lunch" and bribe you with a free lunch. The culture is very sick and toxic.

Pros

Staff are friendly, and everyone relates as they are all in the same boat

Cons

Constantly try to cut costs, horrendously short staffed all the time, no management or organisation. Constantly blamed for stealing stock with no evidence.
