Pros

Work-life balance is excellent and most people are extremely talented and knowledgeable. The products are strong and there are amazing author connections.

Cons

The industry is in a downward spiral until the physical book versus the digital book battle is settled. Executives actually apologized for their blotched reorganizations and communications. Currently they are trying to 'get back on track' but it's a long tunnel with a pinpoint of light at the end.

Pros

Great colleagues; excellent benefits and PTO over the years; casual atmosphere.

Cons

Too many reorganizations in recent years, with no clear direction for the company.

Pros

I worked in technical support which was ancillary to the company's publishing business. Wiley puts out some great products - excellent books. They take work/life balance very seriously.

Cons

Publishing has never paid very well at the entry level, but Wiley's wages were low even by industry standards. They know about problems and fixable errors with their electronic products but refuse to address them.
