Pros

Good office, good benefits... nice cafeteria, nice location

Cons

The company is on its way down - they kept talking about transforming and when they get any proposal to transform they developed cold feet. What is worst -There are a few old-timers of a certain color who would demean subordinates, tell disrespectful things about your race... tell you inappropriate stuff outside of the office... and then when you complaint then they will do a staged investigation and then tell you the person concern declined having done such behavior...(what else did they expect??) if you are a colored individual and in the tech team - would would be fine, anywhere else you may encounter these bullies and their peers and bosses are afraid of them... so stay away... or join and shut up...

Thanks for the review. I can assure you that Wiley takes any and all accusations of racism, bullying, and other violations of business and social conduct seriously. We maintain high expectations about professional and person conduct, and our policies and practices are prominently available from the company intranet. We also maintain a confidential hotline for employee complaints in addition to rigorous investigation process. It benefits nobody - especially the company - to foster or tolerate anti-social behavior.

Pros

More than 200 years history.

Cons

No clear direction forward. Management does their own thing. All departments work in silos - totally no collaboration. The truth is beneath the surface.

First let me thank you for taking a moment to voice your opinion. While harsh, it's important that all employees feel empowered to express themselves appropriately whether in a forum like Glassdoor or in the workplace. It's true that large companies can sometimes struggle with the best ways to foster collaboration across different office locations, time zones, and departments. Nevertheless, collaboration is the cornerstone of success. It's why we've invested collaboration tools like the Office 365 suite for all employees or host innovation events to encourage cross-departmental solutions to common workflow pain points. I would challenge your advice that it's time to stop dreaming. To quote LL Cool J, "Stay focused, go after your dreams, and keep moving toward your goals. "
