Good. But can do better

Pros

Vacations/PTO Work timings : Strictly 9 to 5 (but might vary depending on the team)

Cons

A lot of changes going on within the organization. They do not take efforts to keep the good employees in house. Most of them don't feel wanted. So they leave after a few years. Work from home options are restricted. This might be team specific. But then again in this age and time, people should not have to be physically present at a location to work. Maternity benefits are non-existent!

Thanks so much for the thorough review. We appreciate it and your feedback helps us look for ways to improve. Wiley does offer a variety of flexible work options; however, this could vary by location, team, and job function. It might be worth having a conversation with your manager and/or human resources to see if there are options available to you. Good luck!

Great people but needs a reboot fast

Pros

Great pockets of people. There seems to be some desire to attract and retain talent. The Wiley family is still involved and cares.

Cons

Low pay comparative to market if you've been at the company for a while. Too many restructures with new leadership only bringing in outside hires from their previous lives, and building new mini-empires of people who don't understand our customers. The Senior Leadership team is only interested in tearing each other down.

Thanks for the review. People are definitely the heart of Wiley and that the Wiley family is still involved in the company after 200+ years makes us a unique and special family oriented place. Times of change often create challenges throughout an organization. You're right that communication is a necessary component of management and it's something we should always strive to do effectively!

Used to be great, now not so much

Pros

Flexible schedule, good PTO, great people

Cons

Management has been all over the place for the past 5 years. A department will get up and running in a new direction, then everyone will be laid off and the team has to re-invent the wheel again. A new CEO just started so we will see how this new management goes.

Hey, thanks for the review! Sorry to heat that you feel like we're directionless. We're always interested in constructive feedback. Have you considered joining one of the internal community groups - like Generation Wiley, the Community Builders, or Women Leading Wiley (for example)? That might be a good forum for helping to increase morale and connectivity. And we're also excited about the new CEO!
