Pros

The people I worked with were great. I can't say enough about the person leading our sales department. He always had your back and was a very forward looking person.

Cons

The company changed right before our eyes from being family oriented - the Wiley's were very much a part of the company - and treated you like their family. Now that is totally gone. They got the idea that they had to change to a company that was primarily digital and they cast off book product and people respectively. Wiley was suppose to be the place to be as mentioned by the former CEO so many, many times. But then it went south and now it is know as Wiley the place to flee. Some of this is also the Wiley family deciding this was the right thing to do and which is so un-Wiley like. Terrible how they wrecked so many lives while they continue to get stock options galore.

This is not the place to be

Pros

The PTO is decent compared to other companies, but not worth it due to the cons.

Cons

Have you ever been given anything by your family and you don’t know what to do with it or how it works? Well that’s Jesse Wiley and his company. This place is not doing well and the Board isn't getting the blame they should be by shareholders and employees. If you like layoffs every holiday season then this is the place for you. If you enjoy outdated technology, processes, and management then this is the place for you. They claim to always take care of their employees, and by that they mean lay you off after yet another poor decision by their executives, and board. Their interim CEO has been in his role once before so you can expect the same downward spiral to continue at Wiley. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for other places to work.

Pros

Decent benefits and remote work flexibility.

Cons

The recent reorg has been so disorganized that people are quitting in droves after being mapped to roles they don't want or being stuck between 2 jobs because the transition hasnt happened smoothly at all. This has left the people who are staying behind so overwhelmed and the company refuses to hire more staff to alleviate the burden or compensate people for taking on additional work. Upper management and leadership keep recommending "chnage management" courses to cope but all this does is frustrate people more. This isn't a "not accepting change" issue. It's a "lack of support and acknowledging that we're struggling and need help" issue.
