Pros

John Wiley & Sons is the oldest publishing company in America and yet has one of the youngest, most progressive companies in existance. It is a very flat orgainzation which allows those from the farthest reaches from the company's headquarters in Hoboken, NJ to be on a first-name basis with everyone all the way to the top of the organization. All publishing companies are going through a change from traditional delivery of written conent to digital delivery and while that may not seem that complicated, it is when keeping intelectual material copywrited and secured. At Wiley, the culture allows this conversion to be adaptable. Employee relations are also important at Wiley. Everyone is encouraged to succeed. If you run into trouble, then management is there to help. Pay and benefits are average, but it is definitely a great place to work.

Cons

Career advancement can sometimes be stifeled if you are not a recent college graduate. Not because of discrimination, only because the pay scale isn't always there.
