Pros

During most of my time at Wiley, although the beurocracy could be a bit irritating, the people were great and the company did provide decent benefits and salaries.

Cons

The majority of the restructuring has been a blood bath with little concern or care about the impact on the current workforce. The company has lost the trust of most of its long-standing employees (those that are left anyway).

Pros

Good work hour and paid time off.

Cons

Have been a mess for recent years. No promotion opportunities. Constant re-org, team changes every other month and projects get cut all the time. People can't have any project done in this unstable environment.

Pros

Some very supportive and friendly colleagues, including managers.

Cons

As others have noted, Wiey has not adjusted to the digital publishing landscape. The WileyPLUS 5.0 failure was predicted by nearly everyone involved in the project. Colleagues pointed out the multitude of issues to management very early on and their concerns went unheeded. It was surreal. Those who kept the project going went unacknowledged. Wiley management also blew well over a million dollars on consultants and project managers who had no clue what they were doing and took advantage of the company's "work/life balance". Wiley has some great employees left but there are also many apathetic people and those who just can't keep up with digital growth.
