Pros

Home office was allowed even before Covid-19 times. The company has contracts with excellent global clients, what is good for any software engineer career. In my case I worked as an outsourced employee at MasterCard and this experience has a very positive impact. The project at Mastercard was completely agile, used new technologies and allowed me to practice English every day.

Cons

The salary before Covid-19 was not the highest in the city, and this is the only thing I could rate as negative.

Pros

There is nothing good about this company other than the people that worked there

Cons

First of all, you need to understand the position I am talking from: I´ve been a Software Engineer in Tests that was promoted to Team Lead. All the 4 years I´ve been there I excel in the quarterly evaluation (received 5 out of 5 stars). I had received a total of one raise, but many different levels of management have promised raises many times too me, all of them postponed by some reason. For me: hardwork + no salary raise + overload + over-pressure = health problem - Black box raises: depending on the level you are, you can request raises after 2 years or 1 year, but those raises are not related to your quarterly appraisals and are given to people friends with management. Literally sometimes management will say that you will receive a raise and that may not happen for thousands of reason, but management will keep deceiving you. They will even put more responsibilities in your plate without giving you one penny more - As long as you are delivering, they don´t care to complaints about the client. I´ve had worked in other consulting places after that and when I identified a bottleneck, I told management and everything went smooth in the process to fix such bottleneck. But not here. Here you will suffer until the last drop of your blood trying to help the client - Excess useless training: you will need to undergo a number of useless trainings every month. Most of them do not relate to your work or are very outdated or are of technologies that are considered legacy. For example you will need to watch countless hours of Spring 2.0 which dates to 2006 Also, the upper management will notice you about these trainings 1 week before their due date and will reduce points from your quarterly evaluation if you skip them - Buggy, glitchy, useless internal systems: exactly ALL the systems do not work. Every time you need to do anything you are going to suffer and do the same thing 30 times and no one fixes that. Also, they will keep changing systems, but every time a system is refactored, it gets 10x worse - Overwork: you work both for Wipro and for the Wipro´s client account, however the client doesn´t know it, i. e., you need to meet client´s expectations for a 8h/day journey while you won´t be working all the 8h in the day There is so much more that I can say, but here is my opinion: just don´t waste your time and sanity here, there are much better companies that you can apply for such as EPAM Systems or Luxsoft. They´ll offer better salaries, better systems, better managers
