Pros

Some very bright minds and dedicated individuals. Colleagues are warm and interesting, coming from all countries of Central and Latin America, and some from the Caribbean. Interesting work in Vaccines, non-communicable disease, sustainable development, emergency response, and other areas.

Cons

Very slow to move. Entrepreuneurship and Creativity are discouraged. Morale is low. Leadership is not respected.

Pros

There is a lot of diversity within the organization with nice and well-meaning people. An added perk is the international travel.

Cons

WHO is an extremely bureaucratic place to work, where getting a fixed contract depends on how good you are at networking and getting political friends to help you.
