Pros

As a professional in Silicon Valley for over 20 years, I've just about experienced every type of company. From early-stage startups with less than 15 people to high-growth startups to scaling startups on the verge of an exit (acquisition/IPO). No other company comes close when it comes to enjoying who you're working with and what you're working on. In my role, I get to collaborate with just about every team in the organization - from marketing to engineering, to data science. Everyone I’ve worked with is eager to share their knowledge and provide insights to the task at hand. The culture here is like no other. On my first day, I had never felt so welcomed: from the workstation set-up to getting to know the team. No jerks policy - lots of companies will say this, but none will honor it completely. I have yet to encounter any know-it-alls and everyone respects each other's opinions. As a subsidiary of Whirpool, we have the security of a major company backing us with the startup-like mentality. Though not your typical Silicon Valley startup where you’re expected to work 12 hours a day and on weekends. The company promotes an exceptional work-life balance like no other. Food tech is a new and growing category that I'm excited to be a part of. There are so many innovations happening in the food space. We get to experiment and test out the newest kitchen technology.

Cons

Like just about any company that’s doing something worthwhile, there are too many important initiatives to tackle them all, so ruthless prioritization is required.

Pros

Employees are skilled. Management is supportive. Lots of free food. Overall trajectory is toward creating novel experiences in the cooking space.

Cons

Like 99% of the tech companies, you can't expect Apple and Google level compensation, but it's still good.
