Pros

Good pay great company to work for, as corporate Zara hires within the company. You leave no later than 10:30 if you close! And you get a commission bonus every check which makes it as if you never paid taxes because your check looks exactly like your hourly rate

Cons

Always an obstacle somewhere, like any job. NOT FOR LAZY PEOPLE. Always a full stockroom. Always someone new to teach.

Pros

- Tests your limits (physically, mentally/stress) - Improves time management and organizational skills - Good benefits - Team building - Great staff - Build long term relationships - Fast-paced - Gives you critical skills to not only work for any retailer but also prepares you for other job opportunities outside of the fashion industry - If you work hard, you will be recognized and are able to move up in the company quite quickly

Cons

- Long hours on the floor - Can be extremely stressful - Physically/mentally draining at times - As in any retail environment, must deal with irate customers - Terrible discount - Long hours/black-out periods during holidays make it difficult to maintain work-like balance

Pros

It is good for students who need part-time job, as the pay is relatively good

Cons

I worked in Zara in Nottingham for couple of years, part-time while studying. The company does not care for their employees who are often working in very bad conditions, where cold temperatures were sometimes unbearable and the staff was not allowed to wear jumpers. Managers are very uneducated and do not receive any managerial training. Most of the time, they are young people without any education, who worked there since they were 16 and would not be able to retain in any other job. They then missuse their power and put the rest of the staff down. Some of the managers' comments affected not only me but also my other collegues. Managers aim to manipulate the staff by making them feel that they would not be able to find a better job, so people end up working there for years, loosing their confidence.
