Pros

-clothes (but less and less unfortunately) -discount 15% before tax -uniforms so you don't have to dirty your clothes, nice!

Cons

-no benefits -the biggest problem at Zara is communication. The managers don't know how to communicate (store managers and head office), they need to be trained. They ask people to do things but they don't agree on how to do them. One wants it like this, the other one wants it like that, so you never know how to do it, who you can trust and well it is your fault! -Another one is fairness. There's no equity when it comes to treating/promoting people (and promotion is not really common at Zara), no matter how good you are at your job. You never know if you can trust your manager. I saw so many people ( sales associates and managers) who were not fair to other people than now I can say there's something wrong in this company. After working at Zara, I worked in another company, I can tell you the environment was way better!

Pros

It is easy to get promoted, just come in everyday and don't ever call out. Pay is pretty decent, just ask for more than you normally would when you apply.

Cons

Stressful work environment. Always feel as if we are understaffed. New hires are never trained fully by management, so older employees either have to finish training them or suffer. Serious company politics- cashiers get to stand around and do fraction of work then other employees. Managers just stand around "checking emails" for hours. If you are scheduled to work with any of the above you work twice as hard for the same pay. So even though the pay is decent its is canceled out by how hard you are worked. If you are full time then you must not have a life outside of work. Scheduling is always a big deal, everyone always has to work on shipment days, which can be difficult if you want to move up but have other responsibilities outside of work such as school. Overall this job can be extremely physical, when you are running around a huge store for 8-9 hours a day 5 days a week processing shipment and cleaning up gigantic messes in the fitting room.
