Pros

- Meritocracy: quarterly reviews of employees for additional bonuses, stocks, salary increase, or promotion - Free breakfast, lunch, dinner - Free wellness programs (haircuts, 15 minute massages, 15 minute reflexology, 45 minute acupuncture) - Free gym membership - Free swag (for a game launch or a company's success) - Great for your resume - Great for those who are already influential at the company - Great for those who want a "start-up" environment at an established company - Company is mentioned on the news everyday (literally) - Some of your work will affect millions of people everyday - Metrics-Driven: Prove that you work drives the product - Dogs are welcome to the office and therapeutic

Cons

- Unsustainable work-life balance (generally 60-80 hours depending on the team and some weekends and holidays required) - Unpredictable deadlines and strategies - Low performers will be pushed out of the company - Quarterly reviews can be very political (don't ever get any of your managers on your bad side and don't let your own coworkers paint a bad picture of you) - Some managers have made unethical and immoral decisions in the expense of the employees

Pros

Short Story Zynga India is outsourced shop for the dying games to make as much money you can make with cheap Indian resources So don't expect a high level of innovation, creativity, risk-taking approaches, training and people building, Player centric game development(Or game development in general, it just maintenance). Every company have their own sort of problems so does Zynga, Join it in a position where you can contribute towards fixing those specific problems Or If you are at the stage of chilling out in your career, Welcome to the paradise. Good * Really Nice Food. Despite having cost cutting every quarter, It is still better than any of companies I worked with. * Flexible timing, No much of time tracking, Vacation time are decent. * Good Facilities, Latest Macbooks for dev, Wacom for art people, and a pile of t-shirts and hoddies every month * Not much of work (if you are smart enough), You can take time out for other things in life * If you are producers, life is sorted. You are the King with no responsibility and accountability * If you are a product manager, there is enough space to do experimentation on the dying game. There are the strict quarterly targets but still a lot of learning. * If you are designer, it is okay. Nothing exceptional as you will be working on the old games and coping stuff but you can use your creativity while coping.

Cons

Bad * No opportunity to move to other Zynga studios. * It is a slow moving company with linear growth, If you want to be in a significant position, have to stay at least 3-5 years and have to put a lot of marketing and political skill set in action. * There is no respect for the creativity, Creative art people are treated with the attitude like, "We can get this done from any outsourced art agency, you are here because you are cheap" * Engineering culture is pathetic, every talented engineer either already moved out or looking for a job. * Zynga HQ sent a new India head with a great vision of making a lot of cash flow for the Company and personally I really respect her efforts but there is serious lack of competence and experience(not talking about no of years) in middle-level management. High level of insecurity in managers and every new idea is a threat to their position.
