I like working here

Pros

I've come across interesting articles of employee testimonies giving less than loving statements about our company. When I first got here in August, 2011 the system was very rough, and had employees working countless hours with unpaid overtime, and often times for no reason. This is not an exaggeration. I just want to throw out my two cents that after this hiccup was fixed last November Zynga has literally been the best company I have worked for. This is my 10th artist job in this industry over the years, so I hope that can give my statement a little weight. Beyond all the perks and employee benefits I've had numerous opportunities to expand my skills in art, and learn other areas which I never was given the chance to at other companies. I'm not trying to trump the testimonies of those who have had less than fortunate experiences at Zynga, but in my own experience I absolutely love working here.

Cons

While I enjoy our current social games that so many people love playing, sometimes I do wonder if we could break into a market with more hardcore-type games.

Pros

Great CEO. Great Management Team. Diluted value as you go down the hierarchy. Below the executive management, everyone else sucks big time!

Cons

More poaching from companies like eBay, Google and other small players in and around the bay area. This has only polluted the internal environment. Serious empire building, everyone who has poor management style but extreme groupism. No two groups even know each other anymore. Very unhealthy chemistry. Unless you know people before joining don't expect to have fun. It's a frat party.

Pros

• Only the coworkers made the experience somewhat bearable. • You might learn a few things on your own, but not because of the company’s support.

Cons

• HR and management made multiple promises about RSUs and salary during hiring — none were honored. • Salaries are lower than what was offered, and there’s no transparency about the deductions or delays. • The environment is filled with too much cultural politics — favoritism and bias are common, and genuine work often goes unrecognized. • Rude and unprofessional behavior from managers has become the norm. • Constant false assurances and last-minute changes in policy make it impossible to trust the leadership. • Overall, it’s a toxic place that drains motivation and respect.
