      Great People, confused leadership

      Pros

      The teams I have worked for have been made up of great folks. And of course, there's the free food, fabulous coffee, gym accessibility, and good medical coverage.

      Cons

      Management seems to go through much churning. Pick a path and stick to it, people! Also, the teams I have been on seem to be heavily skewed towards the engineering side, with art and design sometimes being given short shrift. Also, the advancement plan seems haphazard and unclear, and now that the quarterly bonuses are not being given, no real effort has been made to provide any kind of cost-of-living pay increases, even though we live in one of the most expensive parts of the country.

      Appalling behavior from executives and senior leaders Lots of favoritism and nepotism to determine who gets bonuses - not based on merit Inconsistent planning for the future, misleading speeches from execs Lots of layoffs Huge egos and snarky attitudes Unprofessional comments, lots of criticism 24/7 Long hours (early mornings and late nights) only to prove oneself - need to stay even if your work is done Expected to come in when sick Lots of rotation with managers (5 in 3 years) Work through the holidays Micromanaged Dishonest leadership Crappy games that launch prematurely Lying to investors Terrible customer service for fans/players No care for audience, pure greed to take money from players Horrible pay
