Pros

-equity, though not worth it if you are joining now -freefood, haircuts, and bring your dog to work

Cons

-work environment- super competitive, lot of early (not so smart) arrogant employees, promotions/rewards based on 1 man opinion, low salary and benefits compared to other companies

Pros

get a chance to work on famous social games

Cons

Art department is worst department in zynga india. people with not much industry experience and work in 1 or 2 compnay before become leads. they select only favourite people to lead and not giv other chance. groupism art council members who all belong to same group decide other employee future. all one gang and full politics in selection process. who decides this council member? lead positions do not work and take salary. play pool and poker in office. invest in property and land with salary and not giv others chance to grow. they not care about art. hire only interns for cost cutting. no future in art department.

Art Department - Zynga India

Pros

Office provides food and refreshments. Friendly atmosphere across teams and departments. A lot of great talent.

Cons

This is the situation in art department now: A group has formed which comprises of people joined from the same previous company. They have played enough politics with a particular art-director to position themselves on key positions, and have effectively stopped the growth of any other artists whom they regarded as a threat to their political moves. They have also got to screen new recruits, which resulted in joining more people exclusively from their previous place, and from their friend-circle. This group has effectively stopped a lot of quality talent from joining the company to make room for their own people. As a result the art-quality has been declining at an alarming rate, and its obviously noticeable on the recent games that got transitioned to India-studio. Its a common complaint for the rest of the artists that only these group has career growth and benefits. All these happened in a time span of 2-3 years. Quite recently this group has been given quick managerial training and they all got promoted to manager levels ignoring the concerns from a number of others. This is favouritism and the success off lobbying and politics over skill. It is obviously reflected in the overall art quality across many games.
