Pros

Friendly team, some managers really listened and cared for your feedback. Ability to choose hours to work around other commitments (uni, family etc)

Cons

Only a 10% discount on products for all team members including managers, that must be purchased on shift. This does not include petrol but rather in store purchases. Breaks are 20 minutes and are paid only under the condition you come back off your break if the store is busy- hardly a proper “break” and time to rest. Also worked Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve+Day for a measly time and a half for each shift, there was no option not to work those and missed out on a day with my family for minimal compensation whilst head office employees were getting Christmas bonuses and time with their loved ones. It is also always THE busiest time of the year- no breaks, no time for even a drink of water. Also constantly being “encouraged” to ask every customer for 8cpl, velocity and feedback in a single transaction. Upselling to the point of annoying customers. There were no rewards for meeting or exceeding upselling targets, just negative consequences by having “training meetings” when not reaching goals- ignoring some outlier factors such as rising fuel prices contributing to inability to upsell.
