Cengage interview questions

A total lack of respect all around. A recruiter with Cengage reached out to me to interview for the role, we spoke for a bit and the convo was quite pleasant. They asked for my salary expectations and said they would follow up with me in a couple of days. After a week of waiting, I reached out to see if they were still interested, I was told they absolutely were and that they were looking into approving a budget for the role. They apologized for the delay in getting back to me and asked if I can wait a few moredays to hear back. I didn't hear back so I followed up two weeks later and got the same message. It has now been months and Ive since accepted a role elsewhere. I am writing this review because I am tired of companies showing a complete lack of respect when working with candidates. Doing stuff like this to a candidate on a normal day leads to incredible anxiety let alone doing it during a pandemic when candidates are possibly job-less and experiencing tremendous stress. Pick up the phone, send an email--it doesn't even need to be personalized but, do not leave candidates hanging. It is mean, irresponsible and shows a complete lack of care.
