I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Cengage (Syracuse, NY) in Nov 2017
Interview
The most in-depth interview process I've gone through. First a phone interview, then an in-person with the District Manager and the person above the DM, then the campus project, then another in-person with the DM and two more team members/digital demo, then a phone call with a director, and a final phone call with the SVP.

Interview
The interview process was challenging and interesting for my case. I had my first interview in January 2017 with my Manager & Director of Sales. I was hired in June 2017 after a lengthy interview process which contained a few in person interviews, phone interviews, campus project, and a technology demonstration. I was thankful for how they invested so much time into me to see if I would like the job by actually having to go out and perform a campus project. The interviews themselves were great. Very challenging, but overall a great experience each time and I enjoyed meeting the leadership team I'd have to mentor/groom me as a young employee. In addition, I was thankful to my manager for his communication during the entire process. He really believed in me and I learned to be extremely patient for the opportunity.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Cengage
Interview
It was dragged out and long. No reason for it to be this way. Everyone and their moms need to interview you because they do not want to share the blame if they hired the wrong people.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Consultative selling -- asking questions to get to the bottom of customer needs. Doesn't really work with our customer based -- the dynamic is different than other sales.
