I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle in Aug 2010
Interview
My interview was not very formal, I was told by a family friend to go apply because they were looking for people in my college major. I sat down with a manager, answered some basic questions and was offered the job.

Question 1
I do not remember my interview questions but I know they were pretty straight forwards
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (New York, NY) in Apr 2014
Interview
Group Interviews are very informal. They normally take place in the restaurant. I've interviewed at 5 Chipotle locations and all started late, sometimes up to half an hour late. They ask fairly simple questions about you. You're encouraged to know the 13 characteristics of Chipotle. It helps if you appear bubbly and enthusiastic because normally only one person gets offered the job and that person is usually the most personable. They're also more inclined to hire people who want full time employment rather than part-time college students. Competition is pretty stiff.

Interview
I had two different interviews in the same day. At the time I was applying for a crew position (Chipotle does not hire managers you work your way up) They were having a job fair. There were approximately 9-10 different candidates I was one one out of two who were hired. It wasn't a very difficult interview. It was very relaxed. I was asked about my previous work experience in food service, my availability, what I liked to do in my spare time, how to handle a customer complaint. Just basic questions. Later on down the road I learned about the 13 Characteristics chipotle looks for when they are hiring. They want very diligent bubbly people with a sense of humor common sense and a desire to grow with the company.
