I applied online. I interviewed at Deel (Remo, VA) in Dec 2025
Interview
The team was incredibly friendly and easy to get along with during the interviews. It felt like a welcoming culture. The process is quite long (4 rounds). While this is becoming standard for SDR roles, it can be cumbersome to manage the research, mock calls, and take-home assignments while balancing a full-time job and other interview loops. It is a competitive process, so you need to bring your "A" game every round. Don't overcomplicate your prep—you don't need to be a product expert yet, but you do need to know the competitive landscape. Be ready for the mock call; specifically, focus on how you handle objections rather than just pitching features. The demographic skews quite young/early career. If you are in your 30s or have significant prior experience, you might feel a bit of an age gap, though everyone is very nice.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Be prepared to discuss your "whys." Why Deel? Why sales?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Deel
Interview
I found the process to be unprofessional and frankly bizarre. I had gotten to the second round interview an had been told later that day that I was successful and had made it to the final round, and arranged a follow call. The next day I receive an email stating that they had cancelled the follow up interview and that I was not successful. I had requested feedback on where I had went wrong to which I had not received any response.
I don’t have an issue with not getting to the final round but the manner in which TA handle the process was again unprofessional and disappointing.

Question 1
What motivates you and how do you receive feedback?
Well-organized 4 rounds of interviews (HR, sales manager - mock cold call, HM - presentation + mock cold call and Culture fit). All four were conducted by thoughtful interviewers.
There were no surprises and I felt well supported along the way.
