I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Redwood City, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Few layers of interview, technical test, non-technical interview, technical interview.
They started with a phone interview verifying basic stuff, than brought me for a fair standard "can you actually program" written test. After that was a series of technical interviews (back to back) with the different groups and technical managers.
Asked pretty standard stuff, but fairly specific about the languages I'd be working with some general optimization questions peppered in.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked a lot of language specific questions - best way divide strings in various languages, most optimized sorting methods, performance differences, etc.
