Interview
I saw the gym on the street and had heard it had a high-end reputation and clientele. I called in asked who the personal training manager was and for his hours. I walked in my resume to him the next day. We talked for 45 minutes. We set up for an interview 2 days later, in which another manager interviewed me- took me through a 'try out' (demonstration and correction of exercise and technique) then offered me the job.

Interview
I applied for the job on the craigslist sending both a cover letter and a resume. The employer called me in a couple of days, and told me what I would be doing, and if it still interested me. He asked what wage would you be satisfied at. I said considering my past credentials of working in various sporting goods stores, being athletic, and having past customer relationship skills, proudly said $12-$13 an hour. Equinox says they pay the highest wage of all the other major gym names--I don't believe them.
We talked a little more and then he said you can have the position but you would get paid $9 an hour and have open and free access to the gym. I said No to the offer.
I believe the employer should have told me right away how much the position pays instead of trying to take my pride away and lower myself in the case I would have accepted the offer.
He sounded nice and his intentions appeared to be true. But if you are looking for a job and would like to make a little money and have free access to a gym, then this would be a great job for you. This is not a career!

Interview
I met with the CXX to discuss a position in their corporate IT department. Prior to the meeting, I was told by HR that he was "direct" and a "straight shooter". I guess this is code for rude and unprofessional. He had not read my Bio or CV seemed irritated that I was there for this interview. The 45 minutes spent arduously dragged on with the occasional jab at my current employer, my situation (having just been LOW'd) and work history.
