Interview
Very abrupt and unprofessional interview by a membership representative, not even a hiring manager or human resource person. The interviewer quickly stated that I was overqualified but Assistant Manager is the highest they bring anyone into management as they promote internally. I explained that I was aware of this and was willing to take a step back if I felt there was long term growth potential and felt confident I could progress quickly. The interviewer pointed out quickly that my salary requirement on application was too high and asked directly "what the lowest pay you would accept"-again I explained that at this stage I was really interested in finding the right opportunity and company I felt had growth but she kept insisting I give her a bottom line number. Some advice- have a professional do your interviews- not a membership rep and if someone lists their salary requirements and it is too high, don't call and waste their time.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Equinox (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
One of the most played out interview processes I have ever had, but in a good way. Last one was in-person in a small office with the PT manager and two trainers shooting out questions left and right. For an entry level position, it was great to see that they took the hiring process seriously. It ended on a light note before I was offered the job.
