Easy interview process via zoom with no presentation or difficult questions- it was more of a CV Review. I was offered the job on the same day without a second stage interview.
very light, just really a formal chat. not much preperation was needed for the interview and it was a very quick experience and was offered a job a few days later
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Future (Bath, Inglaterra) in Jan 2024
Interview
- Initial with recruiter: basic competency q's
- Initial with Manager: slightly more difficult competency qs. "name a time you did x, what was the outcome/value delivered"
- Tech task - analyse a data set, make a presentation, build a product roadmap, describe an epic feature. Overly detailed, excessively lengthy and required industry specific knowledge. Baring in mind this was a Junior position, this was frustrating.
- Final with both Managers - car crash. No structure, interviewers were seemingly improvising and failed to ask basic introductory questions about my background. Led to them asking very specific PM related questions about using JIRA which I had no idea about. If they had made the effort to ask my background, they would've learned that I'm a software engineer looking to make the switch into the Junior PM role. Half way through the interview one of the managers left. Which I found to be highly disrespectful given that the outcome of this call would potentially determine whether or not I moved half way across the country. Do companies some companies forget you're interviewing them as well?
