I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at KPMG in Feb 2012
Interview
The interview process was fairly simple. It first consisted of a phone interview with a member of the recruiting team. In that interview, we discussed my education, experience, and what I know/liked about KPMG. After the phone interview concluded, we scheduled a face-to-face interview with a partner for the following week. A lot of that was just me asking questions that I had regarding the firm and the position. Two days after the face-to-face interview I received and accepted an offer.

Interview
Got an email for an interview invitation followed up by a phone call. First round interview was about 30 minutes and was mainly conversational. Had the general questions like "Why do you want to be a CA?" and "Why accounting?" Talked mainly about a couple interests that I had put down on my resume. Interviewer was easy going and interesting to talk to. Since we talked about my hobbies mainly, I did not convey transferable skills to the job very well. So if your interview is conversational make sure you do that.
