I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Okta in Mar 2024
Interview
I was referred to the position by an old classmate. I participated in all the interview stages and made it to the final round.
First round was a 30 minute HR screening.
Second round was a 1 hour technical interview which consisted of a standard coding challenge.
Third round was comprised of four one-hour long interviews with multiple members of the team. First interview was technical, second interview was technical, third was with an EM, fourth was with an EM.
The process was so long and convoluted and took up so much of my time and energy. The technical interviews were redundant and a four hour third round is way too much to ask of a prospective candidate. In ten years in this industry, this was by and far the most convoluted interview process I have ever participated in.
After all was said and done, I had to wait a full week to receive an automated response informing me I did not get the position. After all the time and energy, they couldn't even take the time to write me a personal note.

Your experience and background, typical HR stuff. Technical stuff was a smattering of leetcode style questions.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Okta (Barcelona) in Mar 2024
Interview
First call with recruiter and then followed by a technical interview. The beginning seemed nice but then after the technical interview, completely ghosted. The technical hiring manager said to give feedback within the next few days but nothing. Not even a templated rejection.

Interview
There were seven total interviews plus a final project. Interviewers were friendly and relatable - low-pressure. There was no sense of the final outcome or even final number of interviews. Near the end, it started feeling like they were adding interviews just for the heck of it. Incredibly frustrating and time-wasting for all concerned,
