Interview
I interviewed at Penguin for a Campaigns Executive role in December 2023. I submitted a written application, had a first interview virtually, then had to submit a task and finally had a second interview in person at their offices.
They asked standard questions about favourite campaigns, a time where i have convinced a colleague to change their mind, how i keep myself attentive to detail and my personal reading interests. It was an enjoyable process overall and I received helpful feedback when I wasn't offered the role.

Interview
They contacted me fairly quickly about an assessment. They wanted me to review one of their webpages and provide an assessment of it. I was then informed they would be in touch within two weeks. Unfortunately they missed their deadline even though I made mine. I was eventually told that I did not get the job. I hope they didn’t convince too many applicants to help them redesign their webpage for free. Overall it was a very poorly done process, and I feel gross that I provided free labor for a company that can’t follow their own instructions.

Question 1
Based on your assessment of this webpage, what optimizations or improvements come to mind?
I did not have the chance to interview but I am writing to share my poor experience with this place. They had me do an assignment and then I got an update a whole week later saying I was on a *waitlist*, yea that's how ridiculous this is, and that I would get an update TWO weeks later at the latest. Two weeks passed and no update. I had to reach out asking for an update and still nothing. *Insert colorful words here* poor job from the recruiter and hiring team. I hope karma bits back at these folks.
