The interview process begins with your application, which, in most cases, needs an internal employee listed as a references to even be considered. (My experience is limited to entry-level jobs applied to). Then you are asked to participate in a blind assessment that is specific to the role. If you do well on the assessment, you will be invited to a screening interview with HR and then an interview with the hiring manager(s) for the position. They are very communicative throughout the entire process, but it’s definitely difficult to break into the industry. Was made to write a review of a contemporary fictional novel that came out in my cover letter. Asked many questions pertaining to experience in the industry. They seemed to be screening for people passionate about books but with know-how of what the job entails.
